Corston x Shawn Fortune: A Product Launch at the Dinner Table

Would you climb 76 stairs for dinner? In Shawn Fortune’s home, the kitchen and the table sit on different levels. Hosting means carrying up the plates, glasses, food, and everything that makes an evening feel considered. The lighting has to make the trip, too.
That detail gave our collaboration with Corston Architectural Detail its starting point. For the launch of its rechargeable lamps, FORTUNE Marketing created a Reel for @shawnfortune around a real evening at home. The product entered the story through the preparations for dinner, with a purpose beyond looking good in a closeup.
A New Lamp, a Familiar Setting
Corston is known for architectural details with a consistent material language across lighting, hardware, and switches. Its rechargeable lamps bring that attention to an object you can pick up and move. Solid brass gives the base substance; the red pleated and fluted glass shades give each version a different character.
The brief called for a natural introduction to the range. Shawn’s audience comes for his eye for spaces and objects, but also for the observations that make design feel approachable. A product launch needed to belong within that voice.
The wider partnership included a collaborative Instagram Reel and three Story frames around Paris Design Week and Corston’s new Paris showroom. The Stories introduced a place to discover the brand. The Reel showed how one of its products could fit into daily life.
Seventy-Six Stairs Gave the Product a Job
The dinner invitation gave viewers a reason to follow the film before they needed to know anything about the lamp. Shopping, preparing food, and setting the table establish the rhythm of hosting in a home with an unusual layout.
A cordless lamp fits that rhythm. It can travel from the kitchen to the terrace without needing a socket beside the table. Shawn handles it alongside the plates and glasses, then places it where people will sit. Portability becomes visible through an action rather than a list of features.
That sequence also leaves room for personality. The climb, the preparation, and the invitation make the scene recognisably Shawn’s. Corston’s product helps complete the evening without taking over the whole story.

The Details That Make a Lamp Worth Looking At
The two shades do different things on camera. The red pleated fabric brings colour and pattern to the table. The fluted glass sits quietly among kitchen utensils and citrus, with its texture catching the light. Showing both in use gives viewers a sense of the collection beyond a single styled product shot.
Closeups of the brass base, shade, and controls make the design tangible. The lamp’s material weight matters when Shawn picks it up; its proportions matter when it sits beside a glass or a dinner plate. Those relationships tell people more about living with an object than an isolated image can.
The practical specifications support the scene. Corston lists three brightness settings, USB-C charging, and 8 to 26 hours of battery life, depending on brightness. Adjustable light changes how the table feels, while cordless use opens up places where a conventional table lamp would be awkward. The Corston rechargeable lamp product page contains the full specifications.

A Smooth Collaboration With Corston’s Team
Corston’s team gave us room to develop the story in Shawn’s voice, while staying involved in the product details and final review. That balance made the working process straightforward: a clear brief, space to create, and direct communication as the film came together.
We worked with the team on the Reel and caption before publication. Their feedback helped keep the product introduction aligned with the brand, while the setting, pacing, and delivery stayed personal to Shawn. The resulting film feels like an invitation into his home, with Corston’s design woven into the preparations.

Why We Work With Brands Like Corston
FORTUNE Marketing’s focus on design-led brands shapes the partnerships we pursue. Corston gave us an object with details worth showing: brass construction, contrasting shade textures, and a practical reason to carry it from one space to another. That made it a natural fit for Shawn’s way of looking at design.
Our creator partnerships connect that design sensibility with concept development, production, and collaboration with a brand’s team. For a lighting launch, the story can begin at a dinner table. For fashion, furniture, or another design category, it should begin with an equally specific connection between the creator and the product.
The useful question is where the object genuinely belongs in the creator’s world. Finding that connection gives a campaign something to show, and gives the audience a reason to keep watching.
